East Village Farm beeswax candles are made with pure beeswax, high quality essential and fragrance oils and 100% cotton wicks.
Pure beeswax is a natural by-product in the production of honey. It is a perfect renewable resource made by the female worker bee for the honeycomb. To produce 1 pound of pure beeswax, the worker bees must eat about 6 pounds of honey, fly 150,000 miles and visit 33 million flower blossoms. For every 100 pounds of honey a beekeeper harvests, only 1-2 pounds of beeswax are produced.
Beeswax candles are all natural, non-polluting, non-allergenic and have a delicious honey-sweet aroma. When they are burned, they emit negative ions which clean the air by attaching themselves to the positively charged particle of odors, toxins, dust and pollen. Increased negative ions have shown to improve air quality, improve sleep, enhance the immune system, relieve hay fever and allergy symptoms, improve concentration and create a sense of well-being.
Beeswax candles achieve a very clean, efficient and complete burn and thus burn brighter, hotter, cleaner and longer than any other wax. When burned properly, they are smokeless and drip less.
Hand rolled beeswax tapers come in variety of colors--8"x3/4"round $7.00 per pair and burn approximately 5.5 hours.
Hand poured 8" tapers--$7.00 per pair & burn approximately 10 hours.
Hand poured 10" tapers--$10.00 per pair & burn approximately 12 hours.
Hand poured 3"x 3" round pillars--$15.00 each with a 40 hour burn time.
